Lighting:
Drawing a simple plan for your trades to work from. (Symbols included)
Designing lighting for your interior and giving clear instructions to your electrician works like an overlay to your furniture layouts, colours and focal points. These need to be decided before you can plan your lighting plus the sockets and switch positions even if you are using a lighting system operated by your phone, remote or panel.
You Will Be Able To:
- Understand how to draw your plan based on your furniture layout
- Give clear instructions to your electrician professionally using our symbols
- To plan your lighting scheme using a creative but disciplined approach
- Consider the different lights you want bringing on and when
- Take care of the essential power and switching positions

The Basic Lighting Plan is broken into two sessions as there is a lot of information to give and this will help you take a step by step approach and break down what may seem a myriad of information into simple well thought out instructions. Initially we look at the sockets and switches and then move onto the Lighting in the second video which is the more creative and exciting part of lighting design.

You Will Achieve:
- A good workable design which is inexpensive and effective
- Expand your understanding of what interior lighting should do
- Have something to develop with professional help if needed
- Take on board more complex design solutions with knowledge
What is Included:
The number of light fittings and what they can do is a huge subject to cover without time to spend on research. This is complicated as different retailers will have a variety of similar products and differing price points. Many outlets in the high street only work with the decorative side which is concept/image driven and easier to understand. The functional part can be technical and needs a professional but balanced approach between sales and an effective design.
